  1. #2: In the poem Stopping By The Woods On a Snowy Evening by Rober Frost talks about life. He says "To stop without a farmhouse near" which is saying that he needed to take a break from his life. As he continues to proceed he repeats this line twice "And miles to go before I sleep." Robert Frost is saying that he still has a long way to go before the end of his life. The poem states that one should take a break but just know that life will still continue until the day of ones death.

  2. #1: The poem "Stopping By The Woods On A Snowy Evening" shows the struggle of choosing between stopping the pain and dying or continuing to move on through the difficulties of life. The woods represents life and the poem describes it as "the darkest evening of the year". The word dark in this stanza represents sadness and hardness and shows that this man is in the roughest part of life. Frost also describes the forest of having "sounds the sweep of easy wind and downy flake". The word easy makes you picture this forest as being peaceful but only when you stop. While this man is riding his horse through the forest the winds are hard and he can't see what's ahead of him. If he were to stop he could rest in a peaceful place but he continues forward because he believes it isn't his time.

  3. 1. In "Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening" by Robert Woods the setting takes place on a snowy evening, most likely in the woods. Since theres not much really going on because they arent many people, I would assume that the tone in this poem would be very calm. For example when it says, "The woods are lovely, dark, and deep". This quote is just describing how calm and relaxed the setting is. But then it says, "The darkest evening of the year". This means that either something bad is going to happen, or he has hit an all time low. So now the main character is in a very peaceful place, but the thing is he is in a bad place in his life.

  4. #2: In the poem Stopping By The Woods On a Snowy Evening by Rober Frost, the author talks about the process of growing up and going through life. This can be seen when he says "To stop without a farmhouse near" which is saying that as time went on and the continual stresses of life continued to pile on top of eachother, he just felt that he needed to find some time to gain a feeling of relief and peace in his life. As he continues to go through his life he is saying that he still has so much to experience in his life and that he has only experienced a small portion of everything that is to come in his life. The poem shows that even when you feel like life is a continually moving never slowing down process, taking a minute to find yourself or find who you truly are and realizing that that may take time to do is always very important. You will always have to find who you truly are throughout life until death allows you to be at a final resting place.

  5. The poem "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening" takes place in the woods on a snow-filled night. The man in the poem is struggling to get home through it, but he decided to take in the scenery of the forest for a little while. He observes that "the woods are lovely, dark, and deep". "Lovely" and "deep" are both somewhat soft in their tone when said, but "dark" is more hard and cold. His warm feelings with the forest conflict with his stressed feelings towards getting home, and this is even more evident at the end where he repeats "and miles to go before I sleep". He tries to get back to the situation at hand and continues his journey home. This small incident with the man could be symbolic, and he could be getting through a rough time mentally and uses distractions to cope with it.
